Today was picture day in my office. Yea!!! Not the dreaded “picture day”. Well, maybe you didn’t dread picture day, but my fat pimply face did.

No today was office picture day. As next week will see new paint on the walls and a de-cluttering of the tiny eclectic items I’ve collected over the years; ushering in an era of reorganization and a restructuring of my daily work space/home space… that is waaaaay over due.

It’s not easy to let go of things, but I am determined to do it… kind of like a spring cleaning of the mind. So I went through the office taking pictures of my favorite things so that I can print and frame them, thus keeping them… without keeping them.. at least in the office. When we finally are able to move and have our own place; I’ll be able to bring some of them back to life, but for now I must bid them good night.

Oh snap! Hahaa… well I’m not getting rid of Hazel and Cocoa! Never. They are my babies!!! I just realized they are in the photo collage :D No, I love them and they stay!

With the holidays quickly approaching, I’m busy breaking out the cinnamon candles and pumpkin recipes; wishing ever so slightly that I could live in a part of the world where you can rake the yard only to pounce on the pile strewing golden leaves up in the crisp fall air. All the while laughing and playing, wearing a cozy sweater and scarf… football playing on a 42″ flat screen in a holiday decorated home that smells like…. Apple Cider DONUTS!!! aaaaahhhhh…… Okay yes, I’m really wishing hard that I had a 42″ flat screen.. and a kitchen where I could make these!

Starting back in August this year, Banana Grafeeks was asked to create a series of fliers for the Honolulu hot spot, Thirtynine Hotel. The challenge, something tonal in color to change each month with a consistent theme.

The series promotes their ongoing Tuesday night Kaleidoscope party; a party highlighting Hawaii’s awesome local underground music scene. And let me tell you… if you think the only good music in Hawaii is Jack Johnson or Pepper; you’d be in for a more than pleasant surprise if the mainland record wigs would ever put up an ear over here, but i digress…

Of course we accepted; We love 39!

I ran across Adam’s Scary Apples, an unbelievably fantastic recipe, just a tad to late for this year, but they are so gorgeous; I am definitely making them next year! You can find it on MattBites.com.

Another great food blog I LOVE is Happy Lady Eats. When I read Happy Lady says, “…there won’t be much cooking here, but there sure will be a lot of eating”. I knew I was going to love it. There’s a whole lot more than just eating going on though, and the quotes she adds are super cute too!

You know it’s not like I didn’t eat enough candy yesterday, or the entire last week if you wanna know the truth… but then waking up the next morning to more food is well.. just great!

I must be nesting… no, not the prego kind. The I wish we had our own place kind… ’cause I am addicted, and no not to any major narcotic either. But to a simple yet fantastic blog. You see it’s been keeping me from my own blog… at least that’s what I’m blaming for the absence. I’m sure any day now my friends and family will be having an intervention for me. It’s funny because the blog is actually a kind of therapy. You looked disappointed. Noooo, I’m not making excuses… I can quit anytime.. anytime.

Chillaxin’ in the space… that’s right, I said chillaxin’. Watchin’ Color Splash. Finished up work finally, yes I work on Saturday :( blah. Trying to get re-motivated though.. to do something… ANYthing at all. But aahhh… yaaaaawn.. I think I may be heading to bed early.. and by head to bed early I mean sit right here in my chair and be a zombie.

There are a lot of spook’tacular things about Hawai’i come October… Like halloween in Waikiki; it’s crazy packed! But the upcoming humid rainy winter weather makes for less than optimal pumpkin carvin’ :( i know… it’s a bummer. Overnight, what was a fantastical ghoulish fright of a pumpkin turns into a real ghoulish fright with mold and bugs taking over like zombies coming out of the ground to devour fresh flesh. “Eewww… gross!”, you might say… Yup, I’d say that too.

So having learned my lesson from last year, this year I’ve taken to decorating the outside of my pumpkins with paint and sharpies… there are tons of neat ideas on the web, and tutorials on how to decorate your way to a Martha Stewart worthy gourd!

For my first one I decided to go punk.. ’cause I call ‘em puNkins!

This is not news really, I mean the cd came out over a month ago. I’m terrible at keeping a calendar… post it notes galore and I still manage to let stuff slip through the proverbial cracks.

Never you mind… here it is. I’m super proud of the way it turned out.. and I know the band is really stoked with production of the songs. They sound amazing. You can’t get it just yet on iTunes, but soon, and I’ll post the link to their myspace, but I don’t think the news songs are on there yet either… but friend them anyway! They’re great friends.
